Free tool
Free email checker
Find out if an email address is real before you send to it. We ask the recipient's mail server whether the mailbox exists. No email is sent.
How the check works
01
Syntax and typos
We check the address is well formed and spot common typos like gmial.com.
02
Domain and MX records
We look up the domain's mail servers. No mail server means no mailbox.
03
Mailbox check
We connect to the mail server and ask if the mailbox exists, then hang up before any email is sent.
04
Risk signals
We flag disposable inboxes and role addresses. When a domain accepts every address, we score how likely the mailbox is real.
Questions
- Is this email checker really free?
- Yes. You can check a few addresses a day here without an account. A free Bouncerly account adds 5,000 bonus checks plus a monthly allowance.
- Do you send an email to the address?
- No. We talk to the recipient's mail server and disconnect before any message is sent, so the person never knows.
- Why is a result 'unknown'?
- Some mail servers are slow, greylist new senders or refuse to say. Unknown results are free, and you can recheck them later.
- Do you keep the addresses I check?
- We keep a short-lived cache of results so repeat checks are instant. We never sell or share the addresses you check.
